# Ordering a Custom Pet Necklace for the First Time: What to Expect

Ordering a custom pet necklace is different from buying jewelry that is already sitting on a shelf. The finished piece begins with your choices and your photograph, so a few minutes of preparation can prevent most avoidable delays.

Begin with the person who will wear it

Before choosing a photo, decide what the necklace needs to feel like. Is it an everyday piece, a private memorial, or a gift for someone who usually wears silver-toned jewelry? The answer helps with the material choice and keeps the order focused.

Animorie’s current portrait necklace is available in Premium Stainless Steel or 925 Sterling Silver and can feature one to three pets. Check the live product page before ordering in case an option has changed.

Choose the pet count carefully

Select one pet for a clear single portrait, or two to three when the relationship between the animals matters to the story. More portraits mean each face must share the available space, so strong reference photographs become even more important.

The pet-count option should match the number of animals you want on the necklace. A note asking for an additional pet does not replace the correct product selection.

Use a photograph that explains the face

A professional image is not required. A clear phone photo often works well when the pet’s eyes, ears, muzzle, and outer head shape are visible. Avoid heavy filters, tiny screenshots, strong shadows, and photographs where a hand, toy, or another animal covers the face.

For multiple pets, one clear image per animal is usually easier to interpret than one distant group photo.

Decide when to send the photograph

You can upload the image while ordering or choose to send it after checkout. The second option is useful when you are buying a surprise gift or do not have the original file nearby. Production cannot begin until the required photographs arrive.

If you send photos later, use the order information requested in the follow-up instructions so the files can be connected to the correct purchase.

Review the details before checkout

Read the selected variant as a complete sentence: material, number of pets, and any other visible option. Check the spelling of pet names in your notes, confirm the delivery address, and make sure the email address on the order is one you monitor.

Portrait notes are optional. Use them for one or two visible details that matter, such as a folded ear or an off-center marking. Do not ask the artist to guess features that the photograph does not show.

Allow time for made-to-order work

Animorie’s published production estimate is currently 5–7 business days before dispatch. Delivery is additional and depends on destination. A holiday, birthday, or memorial date should be planned around the full production and shipping range, not the fastest possible outcome.

Read the current Shipping Policy before connecting the order to a fixed date.

After the order is placed

Keep the confirmation email. If you notice an incorrect photograph, pet count, or delivery detail, contact support@animorie.com promptly. Changes may be possible before production begins, but they cannot be assumed once work is underway.

A first custom order does not need to be complicated. Choose the correct options, provide the clearest available photographs, and make the few details that matter easy to understand.
