How and why we use it
We use information to take payment, make and deliver your order, provide support, prevent fraud, maintain and improve the store, meet legal and accounting obligations, and send marketing where you have consented or where otherwise permitted. Our lawful bases include performance of a contract, legal obligation, legitimate interests and consent, depending on the activity.
Who receives information
We share only what is reasonably necessary with service providers such as Shopify, payment processors, production and fulfilment partners, delivery carriers, cloud or image-hosting providers, professional advisers, analytics and marketing providers, and public authorities where legally required. Service providers must use the information for the agreed service and protect it appropriately.
International transfers
Animorie serves customers internationally and orders are fulfilled from Hong Kong. Your information may therefore be processed outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we use recognised safeguards or rely on another lawful transfer mechanism.
Uploaded pet photos and retention
Uploaded photos are used to create and support your order. We do not use them in advertising or social media without separate permission. We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose collected, legal record-keeping, support, disputes, chargebacks and warranty or remake requests. Photos are deleted or anonymised when no longer reasonably required, unless a legal obligation or active dispute requires longer retention.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to use of your information, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent. Email us to make a request. UK customers may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies, security and children
We use necessary cookies for store functions and may use analytics or advertising cookies subject to your choices and applicable law. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. The store is not directed to children, and orders must be placed by an adult with legal capacity.
Changes to this policy
We may update this notice when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The latest version will always appear on this page.
