# Upload Now or Send Your Pet Photo After Checkout?
The best pet photograph is not always on the device you are using to shop. It may be stored on an old phone, saved by a family member, or waiting in a folder you cannot reach at that moment. That should not force you to settle for a weaker image.
Animorie offers two ways to provide the reference for a custom pet necklace: upload it on the product page, or choose to send it after checkout.
Upload now when the right file is ready
Uploading during the order keeps the photograph and the selected product options together from the beginning. It is usually the simplest choice when you already have the original image and can inspect it at full size.
Before attaching it, check four points:
- the face is large enough to examine;
- both eyes and the complete ear outline are visible;
- the image is reasonably sharp;
- the file shows the pet you intend to include.
For a two- or three-pet necklace, provide a clear reference for each selected pet.
Send later when access matters more than speed
“Send My Photo After Checkout” lets you complete the purchase without attaching the file immediately. This can help with surprise gifts, shared family photo libraries, or orders placed away from home.
The choice should appear with the order details so the team knows that photographs are still required. It does not mean the portrait can be created without them.
Production waits for the photograph
Made-to-order work begins only after the necessary reference images have been received and can be connected to the order. The published 5–7 business-day production estimate should therefore be counted from the point at which the order is ready to proceed, not simply from the moment checkout is completed.
Sending the images several days later moves the practical timeline by the same amount. If the necklace is a gift, build that pause into your planning.
Use the order information in your follow-up
When sending photographs after checkout, follow the instructions in the confirmation or support message. Include the order number and use the same email address associated with the purchase. Give each file a simple label when more than one pet is included.
For example:
- Photo 1 — Milo
- Photo 2 — Luna
- Photo 3 — Poppy
That is more useful than attaching three unnamed files and explaining them in a separate message.
Do not compress the image unnecessarily
If the original camera file exists, use it. Repeated screenshots and social-media downloads can reduce detail. Email services may also offer “small,” “medium,” or “original size”; choose the version that preserves the image when practical.
What if you are still unsure?
Choose the clearest candidate and explain the uncertainty briefly. The image will be reviewed before production, and the team can contact you if a better reference is needed. No photograph can be promised to work before it is seen.
You can also compare your options with the Customisation & Photo Guide or contact support@animorie.com.
Uploading now is convenient. Sending later is flexible. The important decision is not which button you choose, but whether the final reference clearly shows the face you want remembered.
